Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

New Paltz is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and New Paltz follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I visited beans cafe, and it was definitely a pleasure to attend. The staff is kind, and the the kitties are adorable. If I had the room, trust me I'd take them ALL. For 13$ you can chill with cats for a whole hour in a stress-free environment. The proceeds go to helping the cats find homes, and in the meantime keep them well taken care of.

I appreciated the online booking system and the kind staff who dedicate to making the best stay for all cats. They keep a great space and it is fun for all patron. The cats are so cute and wide range of personality and preferences. Unfortunately the front entrance space is not wheelchair accessible (stairs) but everything else inside is flat and accessible. Would also be great to add one or two lower chairs inside of the high chair for people to use when bench seating is unavailable

We were visiting the area from New Jersey for a camping trip and just happened to stumble upon Beans Cat Cafeβ€”and what a hidden gem! As someone who’s always dreamed of opening a cat cafe, this visit was such a treat. The space is cozy and welcoming, the menu was fun and unique (we loved the creative drink names!), and the cats were clearly so well cared for and content. After chatting with the owner, I left feeling even more inspired to open a cat cafe of my own someday. You can tell there’s a lot of love poured into this place. Wish we lived closerβ€”we’d be regulars for sure!

We were visiting family from Michigan, walking around the little downtown area of New Paltz, when I just happened to look down a side street and see "Cat Cafe". My daughter is a huge "cat lover" and I said, "oh my gosh, they have a cat cafe, do you want to go look in the window?" - we lasted all of 4 seconds before we were entering the front door, looking at spending some time with the sweet babies. My daughter and I each got a drink; we were told the ground rules (nothing surprising) and were advised to wash our hands upon entering. Immediately, I had the sweetest cats at my feet, rubbing my legs, looking for all the pets and love. My daughter had so much fun, and we both enjoyed our experience. if we didn't have a 10-hour drive and 2 cats at home, we would have applied to take one home. The kittens were so cute and playful. None of the cats were aggressive or ill tempered. My tiramisu cold brew was fantastic, and my daughter had a vanilla steamer. I found this place to be fairly priced and the cats seemed very well taken care of. The staff was friendly and told us all about the cats and where they came from and their stories. My ONLY issue with the cafe, as SOON as they opened th
